Kill Every Fly with a Swat

Metropolitan Life Insurance Company’s Public Health Pamphlets

The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company published many public health pamphlets that were distributed to its policy holders. The ABC Book of Health for children, published by MetLife’s Canadian Office in the mid-1920s, has a poem about killing flies.

K means to Kill
Every fly with a swat,
For, living, they’re dangerous;
Dead, they are not.
