Lever Brothers Company Promotes Hand Washing

In the 1930s, the Lever Brothers Company in the United States promoted hand washing with Lifebuoy Health Soap with this two-sided poster. The poster, directed to mothers, gives information on the importance of teaching children to wash their hands, a list of 27 germs and diseases that can be limited by hand washing, and a chart for tracking the child’s hand washing.
