Dearest Ruth,
We recieved [received] your most welcome
letter concering [concerning] our dear beloved son
and brother Sgt. Charles R. Benfield.
What I can gather you were
Charles nurse, and we would like
to have some infouratin [information] about
Charles death if you can give any,
as we haven’t recieved [received] any as yet,
and would like very much to
find out about him.
It was very nice of you to
write and give us as much infou-
ratin [information] as you did and we thank
you alot.
Any infouratin [information] that you can give
us concering [concerning] him would be greatful [grateful]
appreciated.
